BHC NEWS

The Lord richly blessed this year’s Blessed Home Conference (BHC’10) which was held in Tirana, Albania from May 6-8. You can read the report on the Travel > International page. The BHC information below is updated on a rolling basis so check back from time to time to keep track of developments.

There are two components to this event - reaching out to the families who attend and providing an opportunity for service to those who would like to be part of the BHC Team. We hope you will find the following information helpful and that you will seek the Lord for the participation level He might have for you. Please do join us in prayer for the upcoming version of this annual event.

Lifework Forum's international work includes reaching out to national and expatriate (expat) audiences on topics including: education, recovery from addictions, family life, men's and women's roles, and God’s Word. The Lovelaces bring information, encouragement and support in the form of presentations, workshops, evaluations and consultations as well as spending casual time with attendees. Another aspect of their work is that we carry printed and audio materials, food and other items to the families we serve. We intend to bring this same style of outreach to the families that will gather for all of our BHC gatherings.

"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."
                                                                                 Romans 12:2

Attendees
The conference is open to any family that is interested in seeking to know, obey, and enjoy the triune God of Scripture. Biblical principles are offered with boldness and Christ-centered relationships are fostered with candor and warmth.

Dates and Location
We have yet to set the location of BHC’11, most likely in May. We are seeking the Lord for His will on this important point and welcome invitations to host the event. Feel free to express your interest as you feel led. The location and all pertinent information will be posted as soon as it’s available. If you, your group of friends, or church would be interested in supporting, serving or attending this event, please email the Lovelaces.

Schedule
Lifework Forum is dedicated to providing a schedule that will fit into family life with a minimum of disruption. The following is a sample of what has been arranged in the past.

Thursday evening
The Lovelaces introduce themselves to those who will be joining the conference in a casual setting. This gathering is an opportunity for those who plan to attend to begin settling into the event, and for those considering attendance to make a final decision.

Friday evening
Curt and Sandra open the actual event with a general topic that will draw everyone together under God's Word. This presentation will set the tone and focus of the more formal sessions.

Saturday
The Lovelaces offer topical presentations and related workshops.
Attendees usually lunch with them to incorporate fellowship into the middle of the day.

The Lovelaces usually make themselves available for several days following the conference for personal appointments, other gatherings and/or speaking opportunities. Please feel free to email them directly for any such requests.

Cost
The cost of the conference is kept as low as possible. Donations are gratefully received before, after and throughout the event to offset the cost of the trip.

Other
The Lovelaces plan to bring a variety of items with them. Registered attendees are invited to place specific requests for educational materials or other household items directly with them by email. Curt and Sandra do their best to meet any reasonable request.

Team
We realize that in building a team to join us at the BHC we are increasing our travel preparations. However, we recognize that we are also increasing the blessings we can offer to others. We trust the Lord for His provision in this aspect of the outreach.

Each Team member will be financially responsible for the cost of their airfare as well as their own personal expenses prior to and during the journey. Personal expenses might include passport and immunization fees along with incidentals and souvenirs. Lifework Forum plans to cover all housing and food. Team activities will include whatever needs to be done: toting, cleaning, organizing, caring for children, etc., with a measure of sightseeing thrown in as time and energy allow.

If you are interested in joining the BHC’11 Team, please review the Application and Release forms and the Orientation information. We will carefully consider all completed Team Application Forms.
