but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."

Co-Director, Educational Consultant

Sandra A. Lovelace is an international speaker who is known for her "candor and warmth." She holds degrees in education and communication arts. Her teaching experiences include public, private, outdoor and home education. Sandra has lectured and consulted around the United States and in Europe and Asia. She is currently serving families around the globe as they come under the lordship of Christ. Also an award winning writer, Sandra has written children's Bible curriculum, had articles published on a variety of topics, and is currently working on her third manuscript.

The Lovelaces are celebrating 41 years of marriage. They've spent most of those years visiting and living in other cultures. These intercultural settings have given them a deep appreciation and love for the diversity of God's people. Each of their two daughters was born in a different country, causing them to develop a counter-cultural, biblical approach to childrearing. For this reason, Curt and Sandra are especially dedicated to encouraging parents in God's call to disciple their children.

As a couple Curt and Sandra have served on a national board for Christians in recovery. They have provided leadership to homeschool families through local support groups as well as a statewide board. The Lovelaces have worked together on television and radio. In the 1970s they served on the staff of L'Abri fellowship in Switzerland with Francis and Edith Schaeffer. Since then God has put the wealth of education and experience He has granted them to work in several churches. In the 1990s He moved Lifework Forum onto the international stage. Curt and Sandra recognize that it has all been accomplished by the Holy Spirit of God. Zechariah 4:6

Associates

The Lord occasionally brings our ministry an especially generous opportunity to serve Him. He is gracious in these instances to provide brothers and sisters to share their gifts in reaching out in His Name.

Nicki Berthiaume is an Associate who truly blossomed. She accompanied us to Sarajevo for our first BHC conference. The Lord used her to bless us and the attending families in many wonderful ways. Nicki was blessed in return with a call to serve on the field for several months, caring for people through an English language library in Bosnia. She’s back home, but you can email Nicki directly to learn more about what God can do with a willing heart and a giving spirit.

Join us in praying for Nicki as she begins the serious preparations for her marriage to Joe Corridoni sometime in 2010.  Hallelujah!

Christina Guy is was a surprise Lifework Forum Associate. She was a providential gift of the Lord as she accompanied Sandra on her spring testing trip to Budapest. Christina lives in North Carolina with her husband Russell where they homeschool their children; Rebekah, Lydia, Benjamin. Christina has settled into the preparations for baby #4 over which we rejoice. We will wait patiently to see what the Lord may have for Christina to contribute in the future.

You can read the report of this testing trip at our International Travel page. If you would like to communicate directly with Christina, she's happy to have you email her.

We are excited to introduce you to the Stelma family. They are from The Netherlands and have agreed to be our western European contacts. We got to know Kor and Erna and their almost-grown son, Bauke, at our BHC’09 event. We have already learned much from them concerning the Dutch homeschooling situation and ongoing developments.

The Stelmas tell us that the Holy Spirit has used our ministry to encourage Christian homeschoolers to strengthen their vision. We are delightedly thankful. If you'd like to know more, feel free to send them an email.

Katherine Loop is a homeschool graduate the Lord brought to us as an Associate in 2002. She has been Sandra's assistant on several of her international trips, such as Hungary, Thailand and Spain. Katherine lives at home with her parents and brother in northern Virginia. When not traveling with Sandra she works for her state homeschool organization, HEAV.

You can learn more about Katherine by visiting her online ministry, Christian Perspective. She has developed a variety of homeschool resources, including a number of family devotionals. Katherine has written two books on the Bible and Mathematics; Beyond Numbers and Revealing Arithmetic. Katherine has a heart to encourage homeschoolers wherever they live.

Samantha Nason became an Associate for our first BHC conference in Bosnia.  She lives in New Hampshire with her parents and eight siblings. Samantha adjusted quickly to the culture change, jumping in and serving in every way possible. The Lord used her to bless everyone with whom she interacted.

The Lord arranged for Samantha to join us for our BHC in Norway. On this occasion she was our entire child care ministry. Once again Samantha responded to every need presented to her. God allowed her to bless the conference parents by ably and lovingly sharing His love with their children.
